History of the Mugshot Challenge
The JG Mugshot challenge is an annual competition that was born from one of the original JG bounties; back in 2016 we realized that JGers had collectively visited all of the US except for Alaska. The Race to Alaska bounty was introduced with $500 on the line for the first JGer to get there. Dan Kollar, a True Remote Legend, rushed off to The Last Frontier and claimed the bounty by sending a team wide email with the subject line “has anyone seen my mug?” and a photo of the JG mug in Alaska.
Since then, the JG mug has been photographed all over the world. It has also posed with the rich and famous and has been used to announce bucket list accomplishments and life milestones. The team votes on our favorite mug shots at the end of each year and prizes are issued along with eternal bragging rights. Submit some mugshots and take your shot at the glory.
